Cameras Vs. Smartphones

With smartphones being the number one choice for all purposes whether it be taking notes or watching movies or making long distance phone calls using Skype or Viber, it is not very surprising to know that cameras in these phones are also more preferred device when it comes to capturing photos. As sales of smartphones have rocketing upwards, the digital SLR and compact camera sales are plummeting everyday, reducing by half in a matter of just two years.

The shift in preference is also seen in the way people use their pictures by even opting to store them on over social networks rather than their own computer and out of 380 billion pictures taken every year, only 1% of them are actually on film.
